Trees close to roads cause issues for road, shoulder maintenance — With almost ten miles of roads to maintain, keeping the forest from literally reclaiming our roads requires renewed efforts every year. Some of our side roads have particular problems where threes have been planted too close to the edge of roads. Roads-related discussion will highlight the Monday, June 4th, Board Meeting at 6 p.m. Property owners on side roads such as Weeping Cherry, Black Oak Forest and Red Oak Forest need to attend the meeting to be updated on the problems and work that needs to be done. Numerous events and activities mark the calendar for residents in the months ahead. This year will see the return of the FFHA "Taste of Fairview Forest" Picnic and the Clubhouse Halloween Party, both of which were popular, well-attended events last year. Check the online Calendar of Events and Meetings for all scheduled activities and meeting dates.
FFHA regulations limit parking in the area next to the mail center to a day or so. The area is not intended for long-term parking or vehicle storage. The parking area is intended for the following uses only: Clubhouse attendee parking, property owner guest parking, transfer truck work area, construction equipment storage (short-term, such as a day or two), FFHA vendor vehicle and equipment storage area, and winter bad weather parking area. Recent disregard of the parking regulations have resulted in complaints to the board regarding the situation.
